This one has moments where it runs Tircreven and Benbradagh very, very close.

After a short tunnel of overhanging trees, you hit the steep slopes. Lean back too far and your front wheel will start to lift worryingly off the ground. It’s a war of attrition, and it’ll soon take everything you’ve got just to squeeze out one more turn of the pedals.

Once you reach the top though, get ready for a freefall.

The downhill is as terrifying as the uphill is exhausting. Don’t go crazy with your speed on the descent, as the cutback on to the main road appears suddenly and can take you by surprise. Get that bit right, and you’ll rejoin civilisation in the village of Glenarm where you can stop for lunch at the home of the Earl of Antrim, Glenarm Castle.
